Humana provides coverage through employer-sponsored plans, individual marketplace plans, and one of the country's largest Medicare Advantage programs. Behavioral health benefits are administered through Humana Behavioral Health, managing prior authorization, utilization review, and care management.
Note that Humana Military (TRICARE) is a separate entity from Humana's commercial plans; if you have TRICARE, see our TRICARE page. We work with commercial and employer-sponsored Humana plans on an out-of-network basis, and confirm your benefits directly.
Under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), Humana is required by federal law to cover mental health and substance use disorder treatment no more restrictively than comparable physical health care.
